<p>Nothing, simply nothing, beats being able to be plopped down smack dab in the middle of a pool of your people. It is easy. It is comfortable. It is exciting&#8230; because you are surrounded by potential. And it allows you to get traction, get fast results, and be associated with other successful leaders in your field. Sponsorships are one of the fastest ways to grow your business and focus your energy.</p>
<p>At my event this year we will have over 45 sponsors that are giving back to my attendees. They have different offers, different abilities, and different services. It truly is a win-win. My attendees are served in a huge way and my sponsors get to connect with ideal clients. If you are looking for a fast track to get your business going&#8230; look to sponsorship. Here are a few tips to make the most out of it:</p>
<p>1) Know the event and the audience- make certain they are your ideal clients and need what you have to offer.</p>
<p>2) Have something to take on the road- Have a brand that can be well represented in signage, materials, and messaging. A confusing booth or experience is a lost opportunity.</p>
<p>3) Leads not clients- remember that sponsor opportunities are about getting leads and contacts. Make sure to have a solid follow up plan. Most of your conversions will come in the follow up.</p>
<p>4) Find the right level for you- not everyone needs a $50,000 speaking spot. Starting out with a table/booth or being on a panel might be the perfect opportunity. Evaluate the right entry point for where you are in business.</p>
<p>5) Start early- I have sponsorships, speaking, and events planned over a year in advance. I suggest you do the same. If you can plan for a year with several sponsorships you can better plan your cash flow, branding, and promotion.</p>
