You don't want to alienate everyone by acting this way because you won't make any money that way either. There is a honor in saying what you believe and that is great but there is also a fine line to be walked here as well. It is in a scenario like this when people start to become defensive and uncooperative when challenges arise during the project. When you are running a business, you will inevitably go through peaks and valleys, small victories and failures. The truth for each of us is based on our values, circumstances and perceptions. In that sense, I think there are as many truths out there as there are people in the world. For some, their truth might be that they are willing to make less money to spend more time with their friends and family. This is possibly what some mean when they speak of not wanting to put so many hours into their business and wanting more balance. My view is that there isn’t one universal truth (other than love).
