Perspective….

Published by Suzanne Evans   |   June 11, 2008   |   No Comments

We had a severe thunderstorm rip through Maplewood last night.  I was so sad to see my little garden all ruffled.

Then we realized how bad it was in our neighbor’s yards.

Funny how anger can shift to grateful when you have perspective.  Anything you need perspective on?

Counting blessings,

Suzanne

Do you keep leaving?

Sometimes you need to stand knee deep in the shit.  OK, maybe waist high.  To leave something doesn’t mean you figured it out, resloved it, or forgave it.  It just means you left.

Be willing to stand in the shit.  Believe me it stinks.  One of two things will happen:

You’ll either get used to the smell (and this takes a loooooong time)

OR

You’ll find a way to manage, get out, and not go back.  Also- you’ll get clear about what landed you there.  All riddles are best solved when you understand the root cause or idea.

So, sit.  Stay awhile. Don’t be too quick to rush from your challenges and obstacles.

Holding my nose,

Suzanne

Are you crazy, too?

Are you an entrepreneur that has friends, family members, or others saying:

So, are you rich yet?

Are you still doing that business?

When are you going to get a job?

You do what?

You have to go through the crazy, my friends….people thinking you are crazy and acting like you are crazy.  Keep focused.  Smile and say- yes I am still doing that.  No I am not going to get aj ob.  I am moving closer and closer towards rich- how about you?  How’s your life going?  I hope you are as happy as I am.

Keep em wondering,

Suzanne

Will you go there?

The difference between those who succeed and those that do not is where they are willing to go.  Success stories go to the scarey places.  Success stories are willing to do what others are not.  Success stories will get dirty, get loud, maybe even get in trouble.  Success stories will be hungry for the opportunity.  Success stories will have a passion and purpose that drives them to do the unthinkable.  Success stories are willing to be the fool.

There are NOT two groups of people in this world- the success stories and the failures.  I see it more like this:

Those willing to do the hard stuff and those that would rather stay safe.  Which are you?

Boo,

Suzanne

Are you trying to work with everyone?

It’s all the rage- start a business and then do everything for everyone so you can get every possible client or dollar!  Take it from me- It’s exhausting….it has taken me a while to realize I work with entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial spirits (those that might have a job, but are their own boss!)

It doesn’t give you expert status or credibility to try to be a jack of all trades…it really makes you a master of none.

“Your mission is where the world’s deepest hunger and your heart’s greatest gladness intersect.”

Richard Bolles

Same for your niche.  Wouldn’t it be a relief to let go of those clients, ideas, responsibilities that don’t just float your boat?  Take  a deep breath.  Make a list of what you know isn’t truly your heart’s desire.  What’s left?  There’s your niche, folks!

Let the rest go!  Really !  Let it go.  Let em go.

Ahhhh.  Feel the freedom,

Suzanne
